Oleksandr Zinchenko will 'never forget' Man City support

 After winning his fourth Premier League title with his club Manchester City, Ukrainian footballer Oleksandr Zinchenko said he found it difficult even to think about football after Russia invaded Ukraine in February.

Speaking to Sky Sports after laying the Ukrainian flag around the Premier League trophy, emotional Zinchenko described it as an unforgettable moment.

"I am very proud to be Ukrainian," he said. “I would love to bring this title to Ukraine one day, for all Ukrainians, because they deserve it.”

Zinchenko said the period since the invasion began was "the most difficult period of my life".

In an interview with BBC Sport's Gary Lineker shortly after the war began, the Manchester City defender said he could not count the number of times he had cried since the start of the invasion of Russia.
